The Therapy Room
We now offer Deep Oscillation® Therapy by Sara, a qualified therapist. Deep Oscillation ® is proven in reducing inflammation, promoting faster regeneration and healing of wounds and damaged tissue. It is beneficial in treating pain, back and joint problems, sports injuries, arthritis, lymphoedema, surgical aftercare, fybromyalgia and burns.
Deep Oscillation® Therapy is an electrostatic deep tissue massage based on proven technology and is effective up to 8-12 cm through all the body's layers of tissue. Patented circuitry ensures safe treatment, electrical stimulation is not used - this is not a TENS machine. The therapy is gentle and non-invasive and can therefore be used soon after injury or surgery. No heat is involved so treatment over implanted pins and plates is not a problem.
The treatment works by electrostatic impulses attracting and then releasing the tissues between 5 and 250 times a second causing a vibrational effect deep within the tissues which "stirs up" the protein solids, inflammatory by-products and lymph fluids, assisting in their dispersal/removal out to the lymphatic system.
This therapy has been widely used by healthcare professionals in Germany and the United States for a number of years but its benefits have only recently become more appreciated by professionals in the UK.
More detailed information on this therapy including the fields of its application and clinical evidence of its beneficial effects obtained from a range of studies can be found at www.physiopod.co.uk
